Welcome to the Leon Loft

In 2013, Leon teamed up with our longtime friend Rob Reinhart and his nationally syndicated radio program, Acoustic Café, to host a new series of special episodes in our upstairs performance space—broadcast live through the show. Over the last decade, we’ve welcomed 55 artists and thousands of guests to the Loft for performances featuring intimate versions of chart-topping hits—and exclusive interviews with Reinhart about life, music, and what it means to be a performer in the modern world.

The Loft itself is a beloved space that combines high-quality audio performance from our handcrafted speakers with artful elements of our signature design-oriented style: antique curios, oriental rugs, and classic mid-century-modern furnishings all create a one-of-a-kind ambiance for visitors during these remarkable performances.

Iron & Wine

Sam Beam is a singer-songwriter who has been creating music as Iron & Wine for over a decade. Through the course of eight albums, numerous EPs and singles, and the initial volumes of an Archive Series - Iron & Wine has captured the emotion and imagination of listeners with distinctly cinematic songs

I’ve always wanted to use that title,” Sam Beam says of Hen’s Teeth, his eighth full-length album and his sixth for Sub Pop Records. “I just love it. To me it suggests the impossible. Hen’s teeth do not exist. And that’s what this record felt like: a gift that shouldn’t be there but it is. An impossible thing but it’s real.”

The Paper Kites

The Paper Kites are an Australian indie rock/folk rock band from Melbourne formed in 2009. The Paper Kites' sound was originally loosely based around folk music and the band is known for switching instruments live and for their ethereal, moody sound.

If You Go There, I Hope You Find It’ leans into the acoustic, subdued and introspective roots that gave the band their start. Most of the tracks are guitar led with Sam Bentley showing off his fingerstyle technique that has become a key characteristic across all of their work.” - Kirsty-Ann Thomson, When The Horn Blows

“At Leon, our vision has always been about immersing ourselves into the arts. The Leon Loft is our way of supporting and bringing in the artists and musicians that inspire our signature sound.”
