Meet the Draw I Towers: Hi-Fi Sound for Collective Spaces
Originally born to project balanced hi-fi audio for the launch of Leon x Maison Tóukkani’s Loom Song exhibit, the design has grown into a speaker setup for intimate hi-fi exhibitions and events.

The Draw I Towers were originally created for a very specific purpose: the launch of Leon x Maison Tóukkani’s Loom Panels —a collection of hand-crafted sound-dampening wool wall art pieces.
Hosted at Silver Art, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting emerging and mid-career artists through residency programs, the event was designed around a complete acoustic experience: A finely tuned hi-fi listening environment in the industrial space, pairing the acoustic warmth and dampening qualities of the Loom Panels with the raw power and precision of the Draw I Towers.

Brutalist Form Meets Studio Precision
The Draw I Towers transform the traditional audio component into a monolithic, sculptural object. Inspired by brutalist architecture, the design is defined by sharp edges, planar surfaces, and an intentional lack of ornamentation. They evoke the weight, texture, and permanence of poured concrete while contrasting it with the crisp precision of rolled steel.
Standing almost 55” tall, the physical construction features:
Laser-cut and seam-welded A36 hot-rolled steel finished in a sleek matte black powder coat.
Custom painted wood cabinets with black cashmere speaker grilles
Behind the sculptural exterior lies an acoustic architecture powered by world-renowned 10” Bag End woofers and 6.5” coaxial tweeters. The result is extreme clarity, depth, and full-range sound that feels as if it emanates directly from the core of the structure itself. Balancing density with lightness, Draw I lies at the exact intersection of sculpture and system.

Bringing Hi-Fi to Soho House’s Wax Tales
Seeing—and hearing—the Draw I Towers in action at Silver Art made one thing clear: they belong in communal, high-design spaces and events. And when the opportunity to work with Soho House to sponsor their Wax Tales event arrived, it was the perfect event backdrop for the Draw I Towers.

The evening brought together legendary music executive Kevin Liles (former President of Def Jam Recordings and Co-Founder/CEO of 300 Entertainment) and veteran hip-hop curator Tuma Basa for an intimate, live conversation. Basa moderated a curated setlist of 12 pivotal songs deeply connected to Liles' life and iconic career.
Liles’ work helped define modern hip-hop. Hearing those landmark tracks through the Draw I Towers brought out subtle production details usually lost in standard venue setups, giving the music the studio-grade clarity it deserved.

Designing Spaces Where Music Lives
From an art studio in downtown Manhattan to a high-energy gathering for Soho House, these recent events reinforced what drives us every day at Leon: a commitment to building welcoming, intentional spaces where people can gather around great design and exceptional sound.
The Draw I Towers are just the beginning of how we’re continuing to rethink audio objects for modern communal environments.
