Leon Announces Winners of 2022 Install of the Year Contest
Leon celebrates some of the most stunning applications of its design-forward AV solutions in its 2022 Install of the Year Contest. Nine installations, each featuring a specific Leon product, were chosen as award winners.
From contemporary family rooms to office conference rooms to well-appointed dealer showrooms, the winning installations marry form and function through impressively integrated custom AV solutions from Leon’s extensive product portfolio. The nine final projects were chosen from a large pool of over 35 candidates submitted by integration firms from across the country. Many were the result of direct collaboration with architects, interior designers, and end users who found Leon’s custom, design-oriented options were a perfect fit for their style visions.
“It’s exciting and inspiring to see how integrators are utilizing our products and the high level of ingenuity and craftsmanship they’re applying to beautifully fuse a range of Leon AV solutions into a wide variety of environments,” says Noah Kaplan, owner and founder of Leon Speakers. “These stunning installations remind us of the key role integrators play in Leon’s success and demonstrate to those in the AV, interior design, and architecture industries how technology and design can co-exist gracefully in luxury home and commercial settings.”
Each winner will receive a Leon account credit, hand-signed copy of Leon Loft artist Devon Gilfillian’s album Black Hole Rainbow, and featured posts across Leon’s social media.

Best Outdoor Speaker
Leon Products used: Custom Pair of Tr50-MTM (for 75' TV) and standard pair of Tr50-MTM
Best Buy’s clients “were in the process of designing the ultimate outdoor experience,” said Best Buy’s Nick Fritzinger. “One of their requests was to have a sports bar feel with the ability to watch multiple games, but more importantly to have a premium listening experience that didn't involve "ugly" outdoor speakers.”
Best Designer Soundbar
Leon Products used: HzDENZA-ULT-CST with Designer Grille Fabric and Custom Painted Cabinet, Custom Painted TV Bezel, AxV60 with Square, Custom-Painted Grilles
“This project took custom to a whole new level with Leon at the center of it all,” said Intelligent Design’s Marc Miller. “Working closely with the Interior Designer, we specified the Denza Floating Soundbar with TiULTIMA speakers to go with the 85 inch Samsung The Frame TV. This would be great as-is, but in this case, the client had custom dimensions, paint and custom grill fabric. To finish out the look, the bezel of The Frame TV was also custom-painted by Leon to match the Denza. Now that's a one-of-a-kind solution!”

Leon Products used: FrameBar
“The Frame TV and soundbar were installed on one solid piece of stone,” said Monarch’s Haley Dickey. “The stone was cut around the in-wall backbox and AV wiring. The unique fireplace redirects heat to a vent above the TV which allows our technology to be displayed at an optimal viewing height. The entire project was designed for net zero energy efficiency.”
Best Media Décor Solution
Leon Products used: EDGE-ARC x 2 light oak
“Beautiful views but limited accessibility with a retrofit made Leon Media Décor pieces a great option,” said Mavien’s Matthew McInteer. “The Designer chose the room-contrasting light oak and custom grille cloth— giving both an elegant and clean look.”

“After visiting the QAV Experience Center, the client was excited about the potential for audio to blend with the arts,” said QAV’s Tyson Rabani. “The goal of the living space theater was to incorporate American craftsmanship to design and create an integrated audio/video solution. CASA used a “High-end Italian Rimadesio wall system with Leon Edge Frame in walnut that perfectly matches, hides the Zoom and art server, and makes the television display look like part of the system,” said CASA’s Will Breaux.
