The Challenge
For Slack, the startup that makes team collaboration software for businesses, it was important to create a high-impact experience center that would leave a lasting impression on visitors touring through their new San Francisco headquarters. To develop a solution that would integrate high-performance audio and video into the space, they enlisted integration firm IVCi to help design an AV system that would give them the wow-factor that they were looking for while also remaining functional for traditional presentations.

The Solution
To complement the 6-display-wide, 3-display-high, 286" LCD video wall that was being installed in the room, IVCi brought Leon into the project to design a completely custom audio system to deliver the high-performance that was required without compromising the design of the space. The Leon team worked closely with IVCi to engineer an audio solution that seamlessly integrated into the video wall, bringing surround sound to the room while remaining unobtrusive and visually appealing.

To provide the space with the highest-performance audio possible, Leon created a system centered around their Flagship SEVEN Series speakers. On either side of the video wall, custom-height Profile Pr700 speakers were installed, and running across the top of the displays, a custom-width Horizon Hz700 soundbar with 4 built-in Aaros ACS8-400 powered subwoofers. On the bottom of the screen array, Leon created a custom kickplate disguised as a grill to protect the lower displays while blending in with the design. Throughout the room, Detail Ds700 on-wall surrounds were added to provide a listening experience that extended beyond the front soundstage, providing Slack with the perfect platform to deliver their brand content and corporate messaging.
